If you want to feel less stressed, more confident, and ready to tackle any of these classes in the fall, then these might be the most important couple of hours you spend each week for six weeks this summer. Right there in front of your computer, from the comfort of your own home! Our unique summer boot camp eliminates driving time, traffic, and sitting in a lecture hall while you’d rather be enjoying the summer with friends. You can even fit in your session while traveling with family! And all our sessions are recorded so that even if you have to miss one, you’ll be able to listen to the class later on.

  • We’ve been helping students excel in the most difficult classes for years.
  • We have over ten years experience, including working for Houghton Mifflin, The Princeton Review, and Academy 1-2-3.
  • We’ve tutored numerous students online in the U.S. and in other countries.

It feels awful to struggle with a new, difficult subject. And right when you begin to start grasping the new material, the teacher has moved on to the next new lesson. These boot camps will help you prepare for the tough classes you’ll be taking next school year. They’ll keep you a step ahead of the class so that you’re not seeing the material for the very first time. They’ll help you feel as though you’re reviewing the material once the class begins in the fall, which will help you focus on really mastering it so that you can achieve the highest possible grades in class. You’ll feel as though you’re at the top of the class rather than lost or confused from the beginning.

Prep for the Fall with These Summer Boot Camps:

*Each of these boot camps meets for 90 minutes twice a week for six weeks, for a total of 18 hours of instruction.

AP Calculus: In this boot camp, we’ll cover major Calculus topics, including graphing functions, limits of functions, asymptotes, properties of functions, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Students will also learn how to apply these concepts when tackling challenging single and multi-step problems and will develop a solid understanding of the most common integrals and derivatives they’ll need to know to excel in this class in the fall.

Precalculus / Trigonometry: If you are taking Precalculus or Trigonometry in the fall, then this boot camp is for you. Many students seem to struggle in Pre-calculus during the school year, and this boot camp will help you excel in class instead of stressing out. You’ll learn linear, nonlinear, quadratic, exponential, trigonometric functions and equations as well as trigonometric identities. You’ll also gain a solid foundation in important topics such as systems of equations and inequalities, conic sections, sequences, series, and probability. When you walk out of this boot camp, you’ll also be able to use your graphing calculator to analyze and solve a variety of different functions, including trigonometric and polynomial functions.

Algebra I: In this boot camp, we’ll analyze real numbers, linear equations and inequalities, as well as polynomials. You will also learn how to solve linear, quadratic, polynomial, and exponential functions. Statistics and probability are also covered. By the end of the six weeks, students will have a solid foundation in the major topics that they will encounter throughout their Algebra I class in the fall. If you need a review in Algebra before moving on to more advanced math classes, you are also encouraged to join this boot camp.

Algebra II: This boot camp will prepare students who are taking Algebra II in the fall by focusing on linear equations and inequalities as well as quadratic and polynomial functions. In addition, you will also look at square root, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions as well as their applications. Trigonometry, geometry, and probability and statistics topics covered in Algebra II will also be reviewed.

Chemistry: In this boot camp, you’ll learn the fundamental concepts that will be taught in your chemistry course. These include atomic structure, chemical bonding, the ideal gas law, the structure of liquids and solids, acid-base reactions, oxidation reduction reactions, stoichiometry, equilibrium, kinetics, and thermal dynamics. You’ll learn how to solve problems involving complex chemical calculations.

Physics: For students taking Physics in the fall, we’ll help you prepare by teaching you the key topics you’ll need to know to excel in this class. The topics covered include kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, work, energy, power, momentum, circular motion, thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, wave motion, optics, and atomic and nuclear physics. After this boot camp, you’ll have a thorough understanding of these topics as well as how to apply them to a variety of problems involving real life situations.

SAT (Math, Critical Reading, & Writing):

*This boot camp meets for two hours once a week for six weeks, for a total of 12 hours of instruction.

Each session will focus specifically on strategies for significantly boosting your scores on one of the main sections of the SAT: math, writing, and critical reading. Students will be asked to purchase one required supplementary textbook and an optional intensive practice program for use during and after the boot camp.

College Admissions Success:

*This boot camp meets one hour once each week for six weeks and includes the following topics:

College Admissions 101, Building the College List, Developing the Personal Statement, College Major & Career Interest Survey / Personality Test, Finalizing the Personal Statement, and Planning the College Visit Before, During, and After Applying. Students will receive a critique of their personal statement within 1 week of submitting it in class.

Success Stories:

I was very happy with the level of service that these tutors provided! I have had both my son and daughter work with other tutors and the results just weren’t the same. These tutors were very professional and were always available, even on the weekends, to help my kids with any subjects, including math, science, English, history, and French. Both my son and daughter also liked that they were friendly, relatable, and extremely knowledgeable about whatever subject they were teaching. If you want dependable tutors who get great results, then these tutors are exactly what you’re looking for.

- Ezabel B., Parent

Our English tutor assisted us with our son’s college essays. His weakness was the ability to write with depth and cohesion. Our tutor was patient, kind and successful. Our son was accepted to most of the schools to which he applied: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, GW, Trinity and Union. Thanks in no small part to our tutor, our son is happily attending UC Berkeley!

- Mary C., Parent

My tutor was laid back and made everything easy to understand. He was able to help me understand all the concepts I needed to know for Chemistry and Calculus in a short amount of time. It also made it convenient that our sessions were flexible so that I could work on different assignments or classes during the same session. I even recommended him to my friend, who needed help with Physics. I also really liked that he could teach me whatever I didn’t understand in class. I would definitely recommend these tutors to anyone looking for immediate help in math and science!

- Blake B., Student

Honors Chemistry was a problem in that the teacher taught nothing – literally. His AP Chemistry students had a 5% pass rate. Our tutor worked with our son and literally taught him Chemistry from scratch. Our son received one of very few A’s both semesters – all due to his work with his tutor.

- Stephen C., Parent

Thank you again for working with Jacquelyn this past year. She was able to earn great grades in both Chemistry and Algebra II. The online interface allowed her to maintain her athletic training schedule and still fit in the tutoring sessions. By the way, she has been signed by a Big 10 school with both an athletic and academic scholarship!
